These membership levels include: subscriber, student member, affiliate member, associate member, member and fellow. The benefits of membership of ICB are many and varied. Some of these benefits include: use of tools and resources, newsletters, email of phone support for bookkeepers, regional meetings and educational forums, job vacancies and online assessments where required. e-BAS Accounts is proud to be member of ICB. Bookkeeping Institute of Australia (BIA)

Louise obtained her Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) from BIA. While the course is available on-campus at BIA, Louise chose to do her course off-campus (distance education). She found BIA to be both helpful and encouraging and due to her successful completion of the course, is now classed as a full member of BIA. BIA was originally founded as a bookkeeping and consultancy business in 2001 but has developed into the leading provider of Bookkeeping training courses in Australia. Other courses available from BIA include: MYOB, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and several others. It is very easy to enrol in any of these courses with BIA and as previously mentioned, the assistance and support for all students is second to none. You can find out more about BIA on their website:

A Claytons Secretary (ACS)

ACS is a virtual assistant network. By the description of the work “virtual”, ACS is web-based and all members offer secretarial services via the internet and most of them are home-based self-employed persons. Clients can have all the benefits of a personal assistant without the expense of employment and equipment. The client works with his/her virtual assistant via email, telephone other virtual means such as fax, Skype and “snail mail”. While this situation would not suit all clients, it can be the perfect answer for some. While most clients and virtual assistants connect via the internet ect, they do also meet in person where required – every situation is different. ACS has many different members with varying skills. These can include: bookkeeping, transcription, copy-writing, general secretarial tasks, webpage designing, phone answering, data-base creation and lots lots more. If you think that a virtual assistant may be of value to your business, go to http://www.asecretary.com.au/ for further information.
