e-BAS Accounts is a registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. What does this mean? It means that we arelegally able to provide BAS services to you and as such, you canrely on our work to satisfy your tax liabilities and obligations with the Tax Office. Since the establishment of the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 (TASA 2009) it is illegal to engage a bookkeeper who is not a registered BAS Agent to perform BAS services for your business for a fee.

e-BAS Accounts is a member of the following bookkeeping associations:

Australian Bookkeepers Network (ABN)

ABN is an association which provides its members with information, support and assistance with all levels of bookkeeping. For further information and to learn how ABN greatly benefits all bookkeepers, go to their website at

The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB)

ICB is the largest bookkeeping institute in the world. It is a member-based, not-for-profit professional association. It aims to bring recognition and education opportunities to its members. It also aims to “educate” the wider community about what bookkeepers actually do and their importance in the business world. There are various levels of membership available to members which are based on education level, work experience and competence. These membership levels include: subscriber, student member, affiliate member, associate member, member and fellow. The benefits of membership of ICB are many and varied. Some of these benefits include: use of tools and resources, newsletters, email of phone support for bookkeepers, regional meetings and educational forums, job vacancies and online assessments where required. e-BAS Accounts is proud to be member of ICB. Their website can be found at

Australian Payroll Association (APA)

APA was founded in 2010 by Tracy Angwin. The association provides education, qualifications and support for payroll professionals and employers. At e-BAS Accounts, processing payroll for clients occurs frequently and there are often situations and issues that arise within this bookkeeping area that require further research and/or a second opinion. That’s where APA comes in! They offer a support line as part of their membership benefits. We often use their support line when needing assistance with difficult client payroll or have general questions – it’s very reassuring knowing APA is there to help.

Bookkeeping Institute of Australia (BIA)

Louise obtained her Certificate IV in Financial Services (Bookkeeping) from BIA. While the course is available on-campus at BIA, Louise chose to do her course off-campus (distance education). She found BIA to be both helpful and encouraging and due to her successful completion of the course, is now classed as a full member of BIA. BIA was originally founded as a bookkeeping and consultancy business in 2001 but has developed into the leading provider of Bookkeeping training courses in Australia. Other courses available from BIA include: MYOB, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and several others. It is very easy to enrol in any of these courses with BIA and as previously mentioned, the assistance and support for all students is second to none. You can find out more about BIA on their website:
